Give New Life to Your Old Cards

Ever feel like you don’t know what to do with your old holiday cards? I know I do. I always feel bad about throwing them away because someone took the time to mail it to my family and I- so I  keep them. Then I have an abundance of cards, collecting dust really in a drawer or file somewhere. It’s not even like I ever go back and look at them to reminisce.

Thanks to a post by Mama Cheaps I found out about the Recycled Card Program at St. Jude’s Ranch.

Now, through February 28th, St. Jude’s Ranch is accepting donations of all used cards (from any occasion).

What does St. Jude’s do with the cards?

“Over thirty years ago, wishing to show our donors appreciation for making St. Jude’s Ranch for Children possible, the idea was conceived for turning the previous year’s Christmas cards into “new” cards for the coming season. Since then, the Program expanded to include all occasion greeting cards…just about anything that starts with a used greeting card front. The children participate in making the new cards by removing the front and attaching a new back. The result is a beautiful new card made by the children and volunteers.”

How you can help:

Cards may be donated by sending them to:

St. Jude’s Ranch for Children
Recycled Card Program
100 St. Jude’s Street
Boulder City, NV 89005

What have you got to lose?

Thanks for this! I’ve been saving some for my son to hack up when I let him adventure into scissors but I’ve got more than enough. This is a great thing to do with the rest!
