And I like that my daughter likes to shake her little booty.
But if Baby C was ever into dancing and the routine looked provocative. I hope that I’d say something to the teacher or say Uhh No. C can’t perform. Or… maybe I’m over-reacting. What do you think of this video?
I should also add that these girls ages range from 7 to 9 years old.
I saw this posted on Ms. Latina’s site and I had to get my readers input too!

This is disturbing on so many levels. The costumes, the song and the moves.
I agree. I think that the attire was way over the top for the age group but the girls were very talented. In different costumes it might not have felt so… Grown… But I agree, they are seeing and doing way worse in school… Scary.
Just plain wrong!
I agree I see nothing wrong with the girls performance, it was a very cute routine trust me it could of been worst. I work with fourth graders who dance way more provocative than this and know way more about sexual activities than I did when I was in fourth grade. Despite the fact that majority of them are learning this in the home but for those who shelter their kids they are bound to learn it in school. Now back to the dancing they did a beautiful job I would just question the choice of costume, it looks like their in lingerie a leotard and tights would have been just fine like in the actual music video.
P.S. Don’t forget who was whining and getting on bad at a young age and most of all who taught me
Luv Ya D
I am a very strict retired Army mom and grandmother. I really don’t see anything wrong with what these girls were doing. You could tell from their movements that they are ballet dancers. If we don’t allow our kids to do somethings in front of us, guess what happends behind our backs. When my kids were younger, I would allow them to play any kind of music they wanted to in the house, because if I allowed them to play it in the house, so there would be nothing anyone could bring to them when they were outside. Mind you I was very strict, NONE of my girls got pregnant while in high school. They all had their first as adults, and or married. Remember kids do things behind our backs, if we let them so somethings at home, they will not want to engage in certain things on the outside. IT’S UP TO US AS ADULTS TO TEACH OUR CHILDREN AT HOME. HOME TEACHING COMES FIRST. I look at my children and KNOW, I was very successful in growing them, and they are all adults. Give them some freedom, and also make they AFRAID of you on the other hand. The girls did good. If you don’t like what they did. THROW out all your TV’s in your house, and KEEP your children home. They see things once they leave your house. YOU CANNOT SEE AND KNOW WHAT THEY DO 24/7
OMG there is something wrong with this. I dread the day my baby is old enough to dance like this

I should add that I do appreciate the awesome dance moves that they have (not the ass shakin and booty poppin) but the actual dance technique- the twirls and spins, etc. I just know that the song added with the attire is a bit much for their age group. Had it been a different song choice… maybe it wouldn’t be so controversial.
I think its so sad that the parents didn’t see anything wrong with the dance or their attire. If they allow them to do this now, what will happen when they get older? Very sad.
Btw, thanks for passing by my blog! It looks like we both posted about the same thing LOL

I’m disgusted by this entire thing. I don’t want my 5 or 6 year old singing about being a single lady in barely any clothes while popping her ass and chest (flat as it may be) for all to see. I WILL be that mom that says no.. she’s not performing this.
The same dance in different clothing might not be so offensive. My jaw drops most over the costume choice.
