So dark, that sometimes you think all would be better if you weren’t alive.
Do. Not. Think. Like. That.
You are loved!
Suicide is serious and permanent.
I’ve been there. I know the feeling.
Thank God I had a stellar therapist and an amazing family unit- filled with family and friends- to help me through.
Even if you think there is no one to talk to, there is someone! Even people you don’t know.

Email someone! Call someone! Talk to someone! Express your pain.
You are not alone.
As a mom and a teacher. I can’t imagine what you can say to your child or student to let them know that there are other options. I can’t even imagine the pain this family is feeling.
Raising awareness for suicide is so important and I applaud this mom for the courage it is taking her to stand up and speak out against suicide.

Zach’s Mom
I almost lost myself in the winter. Almost there. Then someone intervened. Sometimes when you are such in a bad funk those thoughts of giving in sound so appealing and rational. It’s hard to fight them. Which is why it is so important for the people around us to swarm in and give them love.
I am so sad for that boy. I’m sad for all people with a mental illness. It’s so hard to fight this but with numbers? We could kick ass.

Kim you are so right. I’m so thankful for my Computer peeps like you and Katie. Like today is such a bad day and Katie just swarms my inbox with Mommy love. We need to be there for each other, just in case no one’s there in real life.
I lost a student to suicide a year ago. It was one of the hardest things I’ve faced as a teacher. I always think of him.
