So as a new mom something that I chose to forgo is spending an obnoxious amount of money on underwear at Victoria’s Secret. I know your secret Victoria, you’re expensive! Moving on… I purchased a pack of Hanes “No-Ride Up Panties.”

On their site, they promise the following:

“These panties won’t ride up. That’s our Comfort Fit promise”

If you aren’t satisfied with Hanes’ undies, you can send them back (at your expense, of course) and they will replace your undies.

Gee Hanes, are you going to send me more panties that give me a wedgie at every turn? Cause that would be sweet! I enjoy taking my kid to the park and subtly trying to pull out my wedgie amongst other Moms… or being in the endless line at Costco with cotton stuck up my ass! That’s awesome.

So, I’m giving Hanes’ no-wedgie panties a thumbs down. Just sayin’.

Yeah I said it. Shame, shame, shame.

Now, ya’ll know I love me some Wal-Mart. I just do. I think they sell items at affordable prices. But when I read the article saying that both Wal-Mart and H&M are purposely damaging and then throwing away unsold items from their store. All I could do was shake my head. You should be ashamed.

In this day and age when times are so hard for so many people, you are throwing away stuff that you don’t sell? That’s not even appropriate.

Once upon a time, I used to volunteer at a battered women’s shelter in Saint Petersburg, Florida and once every two weeks, I would go to a local Target and pick up donations from them. What did these donations consist of? Any and everything. Unsold items that were just sitting in a back stock room. They had been marked down and discounted and still were not sold, so they donated them to a place in need. Bikes, clothes, hygiene items- all kinds of stuff.

The H&M in Manhattan, which I used to frequent by the way, by the train station where I used to catch the A train. Yup, I’m calling you out! Right there on 35th street. They were just tossing stuff into the street. Then when interviewed about it both H&M and Wal-Mart tried to act all shocked and surprised. Psshhh.

I have a thing for BEARPAW Boots. Yes, a thing.

It started late in 2009 and now has sprung into what you can call an obsession.

Now, I’ve never really been into the furry boots thing like most girls, it just didn’t catch on for me. I never really like Ugg Boots and Emu never caught on with me… I especially hate when girls choose to wear these types of boots in the 100+ degree weather with shorts- that is just not appropriate.

But there’s something about BEARPAW.

I started tweeting with them right away once I found out about their awesome boots and now, I may seriously be considered a Twitter stalker of BEARPAW.

I think my trip to Omaha, Nebraska over Christmas break sealed the deal for me with BEARPAW shoes.

It was cold. Colder than I have been in a REALLY long time.

I went to the store to try on a pair of BEARPAW boots and as soon as I slipped my feet into that warm sheepskin interior- I was in love.

Chris and I slipped our baby girl into a pair of these:

And we knew we had to have them. They were so cute on her feet. Too bad they didn’t have them in her size. So, what’s a girl to do but Tweet Bearpaw?
